Paul Lytton is like a Ninja Bag Worm that moves forwards and in reverse…picking up all types of noise makers on and around his drum set and shedding them with a fluidity and chaotic awkwardness that is refreshingly human. This Festival is so very good for the musical creative soul. Thanks to Ken Vandermark and all musicians, volunteers for making this happen! If you can’t make it this time around, put it on your calendar for next year!

Bangkok Silver, new album by Helen Gillet, came out in February 2015. The music illustrates Gillet’s evolved loop pedal technique with her instrument, creating very rhythmic backing tracks to her vocals and cello solos. Bangkok Silver captures the essence of her current live solo show and includes brand new tunes written during the recording of the album such as “Alvar,” “Weed Tree” and “Grapevine.”

YOU can help me achieve my lofty goal of two new albums for 2015 by becoming a patron.
I have been a busy bee wrapping up a solo album and already beginning a new french big band recording. They are both shaping up nicely and if all goes well my newest solo album w/ special guest Mark Southerland will be out in February 2015 and “Dusk in Wallonia” with my french big band should be out by April, 2015.
The total price tag for my 2 albums is $15,000. I am looking for sponsorships of $500 or more. Let me know if you would like to be involved and I will send you more information. In exchange for helping me put out my music I will offer patrons a signed box set, photograph as well as a custom performance TBD if you can swing a $1000+ donation. (If you are part of an organization this can come in the form of a fundraiser concert etc..). Your name, or the name of your organization will also appear in the liner notes of the album.
