“Helen Gillet opens New Orleans Jazz Fest with a passionate performance. It’s not easy to put a label on experimental cellist Helen Gillet’s sound. She rarely adheres to musical borders. If her art was more visual than musical, you could imagine her coloring way outside the lines.”
